The other night Becca's sister and her family swept in with a whole bunch of life and cuteness and blessing. Her sister Rachel, her brother in law Chinua and their five amazing children, Cai, Kenya, Leafy, Solo and little Isaac are visiting from Thailand to have a time of connection with family and churches before they head back to their work as missionaries. And for this time they have landed here on the orchard and my heart is singing.
The house is full of beauty, music, children's voices and food and it makes me incredibly happy. I've followed this little family for several years via their blog and of course dear Becca keeps me in the loop with what is happening in their lives as well so I am happy that she finally gets some one on one with her family.
Meanwhile, August came in with a rush of unending heat and sunshine and the days a long and lazy and bright. Peaches, cherries, blueberries and raspberries are some of the delights of this fine season as well. Yum.
