65th Anniversay, For Real

These kind of milestones are definitely worth celebrating.
65 years of faithful loving.
The nurturing of a family and the growth of a loving union.

So beautiful.
So real and raw and precious.
The cost of growing and loving, gaining and losing.
Choosing and remaining.

It was all pulled together rather spontaneously because Mom and Dad wanted to celebrate later in the month when their downstairs restaurant opened.
I still felt it was important to mark the day.
So we did take-out Chinese Food served on Royal Albert China by candlelight.
Even Amy just "happened" to be here in Kelowna for this one evening so she got in on the party.

I'm grateful for a family that shows up and shows love and honour.
Because it matters.
