My dear friend Dawn brought over these flowers "just because".
What a perfectly beautiful act of kindness.
What perfectly beautiful orbs of amazingness!
We're still doing our prayer & praise drives on occasion.
The summer months were so busy and our routines were disrupted, but hopefully we'll get into the swing of regular drives again.
I know they are a really big deal to Mom and Tante Hilda and it's sweet to be able to enjoy the time together and to take the opportunity to agree together in prayer for all sorts of things...
from healing arthritis pains to covering the government!
These ladies have big faith and their hearts are so beautiful.
It's such a privilege to be able to do this with them.
Elsie had gone for a walk on the beach just prior to this picture being taken so she was wearing her "it's almost winter" gear making it look like the end of September was pretty much freezing.
This was not the case and things must be kept in perspective.
You can see in the picture below that there was a man sitting on the beach without his shirt.
It was warmer than Elsie makes it look!
And meanwhile, back at the ranch, Moose has pretty much moved in and set up camp in Anita's bedroom.
She gives him regular massages and takes him for long walks so she is a pretty big deal around here for the pups.
If Anita doesn't settle down early enough for him she puts his eye patches on and he can go to sleep wile the lights are still on.
We celebrated Thanksgiving one week early this year because all the kids came home for the last weekend of September.
Patrice needed to get her winter tires on and Daniel was picking up Nicole to take her back to Vancouver with him.
A delicious chicken dinner was followed by funny videos and visiting in the living room.
Cozy and blessed.
Dad wasn't feeling very good so he opted out, but thankfully he gets his regular meals at "The Village".
Not quite borscht and home made bread, but it's always a surprise and he doesn't miss a meal.
Patrice made the most of her weekend home.
She packed up her whole room downstairs and put out a delicious spread on the table for her friends, followed by an evening around the fire.
The fire ban has been lifted and it's legal now!
She's got such lovely friends and it's wonderful to see her energetic enough to have everybody over on a busy weekend.
This year is such a change over last for her.
So much health.
The leaves have been changing and the apples are thick on the trees - about half of them have been picked.
Also - a pretty darn exciting happening was me going for a bike & "motor-wheel" drive with Patrice and Anita.
Sadly, we took the drive on pretty much the coldest part of the weekend, but it was so much fun to be whizzing along the roads
It's just so much nicer to view the scenery from this perspective.
