The Greatest of these...

Amy & Russel were nearby at Shuswap Lake for a family holiday so they made the trip to Kelowna to see us.

It was a perfect day for a little reunion.

It's such a delight to see Dad enjoying his grandchildren and seeing the grandchildren make the effort to spend time with him.

Honour.
It's a big deal to God.

Mom and Dad celebrate their 68th Anniversary this weekend (tomorrow) so there were flowers and lots of love in the room.

Because these two met all those years ago and chose to be a family we are all here! Quite remarkable how two can become a community...

And I am so thrilled to be a part of this particular clan.
We have our weaknesses and are far from perfect, but there is love in our midst.
Mom paved the way by modelling sacrificial love and forgiveness and therefore we are all beneficiaries of a loving community.

It would have been so easy to lose some of these relationships through the various marriage catastrophes us kids have endured, but somehow we have overcome and the Lord has brought redemption and restoration.

"These three remain.
Faith, Hope & Love...

but the greatest of these is love."

And this is what it looks like.

How very blessed I have been to witness this enduring love and commitment.
