Road Tripping

I had the opportunity of assisting Kristine who was teaching two WBH seminars during our short stay at the YWAM base in Bad Blankenburg.
Kristine is a fabulous teacher and it was wonderful to hear the short passage that the multicultural group was able to learn in those few hours.
We heard the story of Jesus telling Peter how to "catch fish" in Norwegian, Creole, Korean and a couple of other languages.
Amazing and inspiring.
Maybe I'll be back to staff now that I know there is an accessible place for me.
Right here in this beautiful place.
Here we are following the seminar with a young man from the area who took the seminar.

After bidding our Bad Blankenburg friends and dear Lana farewell Kristine, Patrice and I packed into our little VW rental and zoomed off to do some sightseeing before dropping Kristine off at a train station so she could get to Copenhagen.

We drove by one of the oldest convents in Germany and saw so many delightful scenes.

There's no need really to have a destination when heading through the German countryside.

Whether driving through farmland or villages it's all just fairytale beautiful.

You look up into the hills and there are castles just standing there in various states of disrepair, waiting to be explored.

We tried to get in to see an important historic site of some sort but ran out of time.    I think it had something to do with Martin Luther again, but it has slipped out of my memory.  It didn't really matter though because we were together, having sweet fellowship while drinking in lovely sights.
We headed through the peaceful pretty area where Kristine lived and went to University which prompted conversations allowing us to hear more of her back story.
I marvel at her beautiful soul and the life-giving musical laughter which bubbles out of her so easily.
Much suffering has blossomed into such a kind and dear spirit. I was incredibly thankful for our time of togetherness in Holland and Germany and I am hoping the Lord will allow us to have more adventures in the years to come.

We dropped our dear and precious friend off at a train station in Alfeld and then headed to Hanover for a night in a hotel that provided showers and a wee rest before meeting up with my cousin and his family.
