So many choices,
Anger, anger, or the bathroom.
For me this trip was a combination of the three.
But who has time to be angry when dear Lana drives all the way from the Czech Republic to hang out with us?
It was a heavenly connection and such a sheer pleasure to be with this dear friend from home.
We jumped in Lana's car and headed to Erfurt, this time in the daylight so we could enjoy the sights. We had rented a car and needed to pick it up so this was a perfect opportunity to have some fun on the way. Apparently Luther spent some time in this city studying so a statue is erected here in his honour.
There was also a fun little bridge with houses built on top of it so we enjoyed the narrow street and cute quaint buildings squeezed together all trying to fit in that narrow space.
Here is the view from the other side with the river flowing beneath.
We found a lovely outdoor cafe where we enjoyed hot drinks and bratwurst amongst other yummy dishes.
It was fascinating to watch the people walk by, many of them enjoying fancy looking ice-cream cones. The couple below, for example.
Zoom in and you'll see how I captured the cones in hand!
So Lana and Patrice ran off to find the source of the frozen deliciousness.
On the way home I risked my life again by driving with Lana who has a VERY HEAVY foot and takes great delight in zooming along the German lanes at incredible speeds. She's not worried about tailgating either...
Took my breath away but I am living to tell this tale so obviously God has more for me to learn down here.
Patrice was ahead of us in our new rental car and thankfully she stopped to take in the lovely sunset and I could grab this picture.
