Autumn Palette

Arriving at school one morning I looked up from my parking spot and saw this.
The colours of fall are just mind blowing, especially against the stunning blue backdrop.

Thankfully my shoes match the season and when I saw these cute runners on one of my student's I had to stop and capture the moment.
I am having so much fun this fall with the kids even though I've got more students than I had last year.
And that was almost too much.
But somehow, it all works out in the end so I just move ahead and do my best trusting God to look after things.

When I go into the classes to call a student out, there are often others who eagerly put up their hands and ask if they can come too.
I guess they've heard about the TWO jelly beans that the student's get at the end of the session (which can often be quite gruelling for some of them).
So I let one gal come along on this particular morning as she was begging me with outstretched hands and such an imploring look.
She is a very good reader so there was no need for her to get extra help but I just incorporated her into the session and let her do some of the teaching.
The girls were both thrilled and I get to enjoy watching the sweet interaction.
I love that it is viewed as a "treat" to come out for extra help instead of a drudgery.

Seriously.
I get to look at these cute little faces four mornings a week.

I'm also getting to see this on the way to school...

Changing daily, corridors of golden glory.

My drive to work is beyond beautiful...

A sacred time of praise, prayer and worship.

Hello Battle Maiden. I am a Pastor from Mumbai, India. I am blessed to stop by your blog post and see those beautiful pictures of nature with beautiful kids. I am also blessed and feel privileged and honored to get connected with you as well as know you and your interest in prayer, praise and worship. I love getting connected with the people of God around the globe to be encouraged, strengthened and praying for one another. I have been in the Pastoral ministry for last 37 yrs in this great city of Mumbai a city with a great contrast where richest of rich and the poorest of poor live. We also encourage young and the adults from the west to come to Mumbai to work with us during their vacation time. We would love to have you come with your friends to work with us during your vacation time. We have beautiful children in the slums who are deprived of their education because of poverty. Your coming and spending time with them will be a rewarding time for the young kids giving them hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. I am sure you will have alife changing experience. My email id is: dhwankhede(at)gmail(dot)com and my name is Diwakar wankhede. Looking forward to hear from you very soon. God willing I will be coming to the States in the month of May/ June and will be so glad to stop by your place and meet young people from your friends circle or church who are interested to come to Mumhai to work with us during their vacation time.
