Bookish Club & Shoeboxes

One day is full of so very much beauty.
The fall sunshine is angled differently and bathes my living room in lovely light.
The hydrangeas Celia cut for me are catchers of this light and

The cooler days unfold in spectacular color under a bold canopy of blue.

Gold drifts down and covers the earth...

Evening comes early as our little part of the earth tilts away from the sun, but the house is full of light and joy as my bookish club ladies arrive laden with gifts and shoeboxes.

Sue had a great idea last winter that we should do this and it came to fruition!

These lovely bookish elves were busy sorting out sports shirts, shorts, balls, toys and other goodies, making sure each shoebox was chock full of joy for boys.

The pride of a well packed shoe box is radiating out of all of these lovely smiles.
We prayed blessings on the boxes and Sue will make sure to get them delivered on time so that on the other side of the world some kids will have themselves a merry little Christmas!

It was so much fun, so there is a good possibility that it will become...

TRADITION!!

Ahhh, the fun, goodness and beauty that is all a part of the goings on in and around this little yellow house on the orchard.
