More Mmmmarvelous Moments

Here are some more marvellous moments  in the month of June.

Is there anything lovelier than that smile?
Under that summery straw hat?
With Pupcake and the pretty mugs?
This picture makes me incredibly happy.
Just a moment, but one filled with the beauty and grace of God who is truly the giver of every good and perfect gift.

His smile is radiant through and over my precious mama.

A tiny sweet doggie in a big field under fiery skies.

Dinner at a local golf course, compliments of Mom.
The waiter had on a mask but we were still able to party and eat scrumptious food surrounded by serenity,
hanging baskets and manicured lawns.

Back to my patio... below is a view that just about takes my breath away.
The goodness of God chases me down, His hand waves over my space and it becomes golden.

Also, this backyard beauty...

Nicole popped in for a quick visit on a short trip she took into town to see some friends.
I haven't seen Daniel since Christmas; this covid thing is a little more restrictive on him due to his work at a medical facility.

More hand-waving by God producing the scene below.
We are the sheep of HIS PASTURE!

He is forever caring for me, creating spectacular vistas and all I can do is lift my arms high and worship the Great Artist.
He knew I'd be here ready to admire and He did it for me!

He's into the details too.
Puppies and strawberries...

Sunflowers and mushrooms.

And here, the pinnacle of God's creation...
We are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Created in His image for eternal purposes and a destiny that is mind-blowing.

I'm just so grateful that I got placed into this beautiful, humble, precious family,

and gifted with friends like this.

Who love to play Quirkle and laugh?

I take way too many pictures.
I know this, but how can I help myself?
The beauty is outrageous and waiting to be captured!

How great is this Love?

I bow down and kiss the Son.

Another Perfect Party

My beloved sister Elsie had a birthday.

I made a yummy dessert and we had a party.

Roll-Kuchen, Roses, & Rejoicing

Little roses in my garden;
perfect petals drinking in sunshine and radiating the goodness of June

Patrice was here last week and it was lovely to see her decompress and enjoy life up here, away from those things that have been stressful and hard.

Check out this video below (I finally figured out how to install them - yay!) and you will also feel all your stress melting away...

One evening Patrice worked her creative wonders and produced a stellar meal of roll-kuchen and watermelon for us at Elsie's place.

She sure got the Mennonite cooking gene and we are all so grateful for that, especially now that Mom and Tante Hilda don't make these treats anymore.

There was so much joy, deliciousness and laughter in the room.

Just listen to Tante Hilda and look at mom's smile!
For her, the greatest comfort and stability is having us "all together".

Winnie is an exhausting work in progress, but she is endlessly cute which is a good thing for her.

This is the delightful season where fragrant roses appear on my table courtesy of Elsie's garden and her love of beauty.

Mom enjoys her times outside, commenting on the flowers and listening to a devotional while sipping her coffee.

Glorious, good, lovely June.

Our "bookish club" continues to meet and have sweet times of fellowship and powerful times of prayer.
I love the faith and courage these ladies carry.
Plus we laugh a lot together which is the kind of vitamins we need during this summer of a pandemic.
How surreal...

I managed to take Mom and Tante Hilda out on a beautiful drive and our eyes eagerly drank in the sights.

Trees reaching for heaven and the green carpet below giving glory where glory is due.
Every blade of grass, every leaf, every flower singing the eternal song of the great Creator.

And these two, bringing joy to their Maker and to anyone else who is close enough to hear the peals of laughter and watch the wiggling Winnie.

These lovely ladies drove up and we managed to pull off a Butterfly Patio- Party with some Thai Food.

Such fun!

Wine, decadent desserts...

Wild laughter!!

Thanking God for the goodness of a beautiful, warm June and a pretty patio full of friends.

Refreshment on the Journey

"Our Father refreshes us on the journey with some pleasant inns, but will not encourage us to mistake them for home."
C.S. Lewis

I feel like my life is made up of the most amazing collage of beautiful moments.

And I don't mistake these "inns" for home as C. S Lewis warns, as they are accompanied by far too much angst and discomfort but I am so amazed by the variety and magnitude of beauty and fun that makes up my life.

For instance - this little face!

Having Patrice here with Willow again was great fun and felt like a real holiday.

Winnie (affectionately known as Piglet) had so much fun running and tumbling around with Willow. They both have lots of puppy energy to expend so it's convenient (especially for Ladybug who prefers not to engage in the childish play),  that they have each other.

Sara dropped by for some catch-up time with Patrice.
These lovely young women have grown up together as family friends, lived in this home together and are now both pursuing beautiful lives of their own.

This picture below was taken outside of Tante Hilda's apartment.  She prays for the deer and their lovely little fauns.  One of the deer had twins and Tante Hilda saw them the night they were born!

And these two little faces in the back of my car bring me endless delight and laughter.
Thankfully the work involved in training Winnie is slowly becoming more manageable.

I decided to pay my good friends Rob & Diane a visit as I missed them and was also longing for a treatment on my left hand which I recently injured.
As occasionally happens while maneuvering my wheelchair, my hand got stuck in between the rim and another solid object so I thought it would be prudent to get it looked at.

We decided to combine my treatment with lunch (the most amazing Nepalese food) and we had a delightful time.
Lots of prayer, sharing, eating and laughter.
Diane, being the lover of beauty that she is, brought along bouquets of flowers to give to the chef and for me to take home.

My own patio has been a source of great pleasure as well.
A feast for the eyes!

Leanne and I occasionally have dinner out here and we never seem to tire of games and silly selfies.

My cup runneth over and I give thanks to the giver of every good and perfect gift.
